Why I write this blog
I worked for two years as a Data Scientist at a Japanese financial company, where I had many opportunities to use Python and SQL.
After leaving the company due to family circumstances, I realized that I could leverage my Python skills to create my own media site, which seemed like a reasonable step given my situation.
During this process, I learned about Flask, a web framework for Python.
Having spent a couple of years as a Data Scientist, I already understood the incredible potential of large language models (LLMs) for tasks like code writing, editing, and debugging, which made me confident that I could build a web-based media platform with their help.
In addition, creating a portfolio to showcase my coding skills seems like a practical way to improve my chances of finding a job in the U.S.
While there are simpler options for blogging, such as using hosted services or WordPress, I feel that building a personal website from scratch is both a challenging and valuable way to strengthen my coding abilities.
Ultimately, I see this project as both a learning opportunity and a stepping stone toward advancing my career in the U.S.
